Is there a way to have a multiple projector file styled flash project?

And what I mean by that is this...

I'm helping a friend with his "book" which he is going to be putting to CD.
The user will put the CD in their computer, then the menu flash will auto-run.
From there the user can choose which chapter of the book to read. Each chapter
will be a separate .exe projector file. (You know how when you double-click a
..swf file, you can create a projector .exe file?) And I want the menu.exe to
stay open.

So, I'm asking this question here as a question of design. Would it be better
to design it all as one projector file, and not worry about how huge the file
will be?

Any help, suggestions, or random knowledge will be greatly appreciated!

Better make your main flash menu as EXE, then make your each chapter as swf
and call this swf's from main flash menu EXE.

if you make all chapters as EXE, you need to go for BAT method to call exe's.
Or may be you need to depend on third party tools like
http://www.multidmedia.com/software/mdmstudio/ . Flash won't open EXE's
directly.
Even flash won't open a PDF file directly.

pc's

hope this helps

Will the "load movies" open in the same window or different windows?

How can I protect my .swf files against people importing them (assuming they have flash to do that)?

Actually it's not a problem creating multiple exe files; just have a
carefull look at how to use fscommand("exec"). I assume using swf's in
combination with loadMovie() would require an entirely different setup,
which could be neater, but is not necessarily what you need. loadMovie()
will NOT load files into their own window; they will load into the current
player instance.
