Can someone(s) with experience developing education products for K12 schools in
the US offer feedback on the following question: How equipped (presently) are
schools to utilzing Rich Media applications on the web in terms of access to
appropriate bandwidth (think bandwidth for 30 computers in a lab streaming
video/animation), appropriate/recent Flash/shockwave players, etc?

Thanks.

I work for the Video Journal of Education / TeachStream.com and what you
described is exactly what we do. We've only met with a few districts who are
tied to older platforms, usually Mac OS 8. But most have connections => T1.

As far as having the latest flash/shockwave players, we usually have to walk
them through that, since keeping software updated isn't a high priority to
schools.
