I'm having a bit of trouble using the scroll component. I followed the
tutorial that shipped with flash 2004 . I made a new folder, created movie
with a scroll pane and in the content path of the component perameter I entered
name.swf.

I made another movie named name.fla. In that movie just for an example I put
the name of my company in a static text field.
I tested the movie to make a swf file that will be called by the component .
I went back to the first movie that has the scroll pane and tested it and the
name.swf didnt load in it.

I'm attaching the source files for you to look over.

What I'm really trying to do is get the scroll pane to scroll a bio that i
have. Can you help me out with this and get back to me asap, If possible by
tonight?

Thank you very much

Rob.

There is nothing attached so it is hard to say but

1) is the movie with the scrollpane in it saved in the same directory as the
"name.swf"? If not, it won't work unless you give it the full path to where
name.swf is located. If you are using a default movie name like "untitled1"
which is unnamed, these are "saved" in a different location than where you are
working with your other files.

2) If you are testing in a browser, it is case sensitive. If the file is
called name.swf and you are loading name.swf into the pane it is fine but if
the file is called name.SWF, for example, this won't work in a browser although
will work in the Flash test environment.
