Can someone please help me out on the flash menu bar on the left of my
web-site. I can't seem to get the animations to be smooth, and I'm gettin a
little frustrated.
Thanks,
Chris

under the text options theres an A with a line in middle, click it and it will toggle alias text, which will make it crisp.

actually thanks, but thats not the smooth that i meant. I mean that when you mouse over the text, its supposed to fade in out smoothly. Insted my text is jumpy, and i can't figure out why.

are you animating individual images? or one and just changing the alpha?

if it was me i would convert the picture of the text and button into a
graphic, and then put that into a motion tween and at the beginning set the
alpha to 0% and at the end put it to 100%

actually thats is what I did. Except I made two movie clips. One movie clip
fading in and one fading out. Then I created a button, and in the over state I
put the fade in animation, and in the up state I put the fade out movieclip.
Now when i mouse over the animation is really rough looking.

ok, but, are they individual jpgs? if they are make sure the jpeg quality is set to 100% in the Publish Settings.
