Off-stage items in externally loaded movies.

| I am currently developing a web site that works something like the windows
interface, i.e. there is a main flash file 800x600 and into this movie I load
externally created flash files.
The problem is though that some of the files have off stage areas which
wouldn't normally be displayed if they were stand alone movies but in this case
they are movies loaded into another movie of which the stage is much bigger.
This poses the problem that flash displays this off stage information in the
stage of the parent movie.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

| I could not see anything appearing outside of the windows. However, sounds like
the easiest solution would be to delete these items that are off stage. They
are just increasing file size anyway, right?

Sorry, the example of where things go off stage wasn't actually up there but
my following this http://drew.greatnow.com/index800x600ver11.html and clicking
on "story" you will see I have started working on a .fla where I intend to use
a scroll bar. Normally if the story was a stand alone flash movie it wouldn't
matter that the text goes off stage because the off-stage text woudln't be
seen. However in this case (and several other cases where it is useful to use
off-stage) the text is visible because it is on the stage of the parent movie.
I want to be able to tell flash that if it is off-stage of it's own movie, it
shouldn't be displayed on the underlying movie's stage either.
I guess this isn't possible but I really don't know.
I would be curious to know whether it is possible because at the moment I have
solved this problem by chopping the story into smaller paragraphs and loading
them is as separate movies.
