Hi !

I'd like to convert a photo gallery that uses PHP and mysql to store
information about the photos (title, description, etc.) now to another one that
uses flash. I've searched the web but I couldn't find any examples of this.
I've seen some photo galleries built in flash but they don't use a BD to store
the information. Can flash access a BD ? Any help, please ?

Thanks in advance

Wow, talk about odd. I'm checking the forums for the first time in YEARS to
look for this very same thing..and run into this query at the top of the list!
I thinking of switching from Gallery to something Flashed based and had the
same question. Anyone?

Came across this a while back:

http://slooz.com/trinkets.php?proj=expose

it's total flash and pretty neato. Doesn't require a db, and has pic descs.

Flash can most certainly connects to a db. If you are new to this start by researching Flash Remoting and ColdFusion MX just enter this in to the search at the top of the Macromedia homepage.
