Author design works in IE but no Netscape

This is a slideshow, the only way to put a loader on a slideshow built with
Flash Pro is to make a movie that has a loader that loads the slideshow as an
external .swf file. This is all fine, and it loads the file just fine, and I
have a .flv that loads into the slideshow about the 6th or 7th slide. This all
works fine, however in Netscape 7.1 I lose my entire size ratio and in IE it
takes up the whole screen just like it's supposed to. Does anybody have any
ideas on this? Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

You have an error in the html page housing the swf.... you are missing
the closing </embed> tag.... Netscape embed tags should not be closed
the way you have used <embed params... />

it should be <embed params...></embed>

I published the .html file straight from Flash MX Pro, if I change the tags how
you showed me will it work the same way in IE? Or do I need a browser detector
to jump to the correct page for Netscape or IE?

Ok, I fixed the broken embed tag and it still looks tiny in Netscape 7.1 do you have any other ideas? Thanks

Did you publish your movie as "Percent" instead of "Match Movie"? If
so, MX 2004 seems to have a problem with the display in Netscape. There
was a discussion on this a couple days ago (subject MSIE vs Netscape).
I copied/pasted the comments below:

Yup, in NN it displays as an itsybitsy movie but in IE it is full size.

Open your fla and go File > Publish Settings. In the HTML tab, change
it to "Match Movie". Then do an HTML preview (go File > Publish Preview
> HTML. If NN isn't your default browser...open it and then copy/paste

the url in the address field to the NN browser's address field to see
how the movie displays.

This seems to be a bug in MX 2004....I've never had a movie display that
small in NN when using "Percent" in the Dimensions field of the Publish
settings. I saved your fla as an MX file, opened it in MX, published it
with the "Percent" option and it displayed fine in NN. I then tested
some of my own fla's....I get the same results in NN as yours when
publishing in MX 2004 with "Percent" option.

with the Netscape browser. In MSIE the movie plays as I have designed it
to play. Yet in Netscape the movie's display size is a fraction of that
of the MSIE browser. I started out publishing it in version 7 and my
customer told me he could not view the movie at all. So I ended up
playing with the version settings and finally published the movie in
Version 5. That seemed to get it to play in Netscape 6.0+ and MSIE 5.5+.
Now my only problem is the output size in Netscape. I am publishing the
movie centered horizontally & vertically on the page with a "100%" width
and height setting. Do you think the "100%" setting is shrinking the
movie in Netscape? If you have Netscape & MSIE you can compare it by
going to http://neweraedging.com/. Thank you for your help.

Well that's just freakin great considering I don't even have MX, and we spent
all this money on MX 2004 with a bug in movie % viewing in NN? That sucks...
Sorry for the negativity, and thanks for the help. I hope they fix the bug at
least.
