| I'm a good user if FLASH MX.
if I install MX 204, should I have difficulties?

| Do NOT install MX 2004 unless you absolutely need it. MX works great - is easy
to use. MX 2004 is loaded with problems. Yes it has some new features but,
since MM will not provide documentation on how to use them, it is left to trial
and error on your part. I upgraded to MX-2004 pro and it has cost me months of
rework to get my site working again. I have almost recovered my site but I
could have spent that time on more creative endeavors instead of maintenance
work. There are more bugs in MX-2004's components than in a Texas landfill.

| EXACTLY, this is why Im posting my topic...
I thought it my problem, seems not!
the same navigation bar I created in MX, trying in MX 2004 I get some
errors.. :S:S
& I saw some good & helpful features in it such as the effects... too
bad..errors :(

| One thing you need to be aware of in MX 2004 is the component size. I was using
the combobox in MX in some movies. When I upgraded to MX 2004 I decided to use
the new combobox because it looks better. This was the only change I made to
those movies (i.e. changing the combobox) and it increased the compressed SWF
file approx. 40K in each file. That is a lot of overhead for a combobox! MM has
stopped caring about the dialup users.

| Do not use MX 2004 it is a waste of time. The linear undos really mess-up the your work flow.

| i'd have to agree. i have mx2004 and have been building a site competely in
flash for the flash 6 player. a few weeks into the process and somehow the
expport got switched to player 7. now that i switched it back to player 6, the
graphics on certain items, like buttons i used png's for, look like sh__!
i have problems getting the dynamic text to render crisp and clear. components
that i adapted from MX worked fine until i added a component from mx 2004. now
there are problems with tabbing and setFocus commands.
i think i will go back to mx....
