How do you stop google from linking to your .SWF files directly..?
It displays as a 'Supplemental Result'.

We all want google to index flash sites but surely it should only grab the
html page in which its embedded!

Is it because the .swf is in the root directory with the index.html?

Web crawlers do not scan folders for there contents, only what is on the html
pages that are visible to the internet, otherwise everyones image folders and
such would be indexed and that would truly be a mess.

The swf file is placed in the body of the index page which is indexed for
content and such, so aside from using virtual headers and methods like that, I
do not have any clue how you would get around that.

Maybe a java script function to ignore files by type, but you may end up with
knobody being able to view your .swf
