Here is my issue. I know all you guys have done this so please, if you
could help me, I appreciate it.

I built an html page. Image and one word which links to my .swf file. In
dreamweaver I highlited the word and in the link field I pointed it to
the .swf file.

My goal is to open the site, which is my index.html file. When the user
clicks on the link, I want the .swf to open in a window that has no menu
bars, just its own window, similiar to the standalone window. I.E. No
browser window. it was my understanding that in Flash 5 when you told it
to link in a blank window, you got no menu bars, now in MX 2004, I can
only get it within a browser window. Can anyone please help me. My email
is jcorsino@mac.com. This is gettting frustrating.

Thank you for your help.

You need to attach some JavaScript to your link to open a pop-up window. The
pop-up window should contain a separate .html file with the .swf file
embedded into it.

Here's a couple of links to code generators which you can use to create the
JavaScript you'll need.

I hope you can follow that.

You can also use the open browser window behavior in DW. Although it opens it
in a browser window, you can turn off scrolling, buttons, nav bars, favorite
bars, etc., thus leaving you with only the top grey bar.
