I have recently discovered that I have some masking problems. My current
situation is with masking movies. Here we go: I create a layer which includes a
symbol (movie), I then proceed to mask it with a layer with a symbol. This is
were the problem occurs. When I test the movie the movie layer and the mask
layer seem to be hidden or missing. I have recently discovered that sometimes
when the masking layer is not a symbol it works fine. I was wondering if the
movie symbol has to be masked inside the movie and placed accordingly? There's
something else too. Sometimes even a graphic symbol in a layer with a mask
doesn't even show up. I bless any help on this subject. Thank You in advanced.

don't mask a symbol with another symbol. Make the symbol you are trying to mask a symbol again (a symbol within a symbol). Edit this symbol and put a mask layer there but make it a shape.

i think we can mask a symbol with another symbol.
check the mask symbol, if its a movie clip. check whether u had added any blank keyframes.

i feel that this is a technical problem.
