Author Designing outside of Flash

I just joined a new Web team, and the graphic designer does not know Flash. He
is used to designing sites with Photoshop, which can't really be pulled easily
into Flash. Ideally, if you're creating designs outside of Flash, what is the
best program to use so that the design can be easily imported, without having
to re-create the design in Flash?

Thanks,

Jamin

I use PS a lot for Flash design. The great thing about using PS is the
abiltiy to export as 24-bit PNG's and retain the alpha channels in Flash.
You can make some really cool stuff like that. You can use just about
anything and use it in Flash. Personally, I use CorelDraw for vectors, and
PS for raster. I have learned that Flash likes AI files to import vectors,
so when I create something in Corel, I export at an AI first, then import
and it is usually perfect.
