Flash Website size issues--Sound Problems

| Hi all,
My flash site is a 21.6 MB swf. Is this too large? If so, what can I do to
optimize for web? I have noticed it sometimes runs slowly thru the intro when
loaded on a PC, which is why I put a preloader. Is the preloader not doing the
trick?
Also, I am having trouble with sound in my clients section. I have two radio
commercials, listed in seperate scenes, seperated by actionscript ( stop, stop
all sound) and yet on a PC, they both start playing at the same time. The
really annoying part is that the very same actionscript works in my potpourri
section (where the commercials are in the same scene). UGH! I have tried
everything I could think of. Help please.
The site can be viewed at http://63.225.252.5/rwco --chose the flash link.

| 21.6 mB!. That is IMMENSLY huge file size for a flash site! Are you sure
you dont mean 21.6 kB? I would hope so because even on a broadband/cable
modem a site like that would deter 9 out of 10 visitors to not go to it. I
always keep my sites under 1mB, the highest file size flash site i ever made
was about 800kB. Do you have all the images and text objects and everything all
in 1 *.SWF or something?

| Yes, the entire site is in 1 swf. Is there a way to split it up into sections?

Yes! Your swf is way big.
I suggest creating a stub preloader movie, and create smaller movies
for each section, these chunks can be loaded dynamically using getURL,
this will reduce the size of your file and allow your customers to
view small pieces at a time. Also build in preloader for each
sub-movie (external movie) this will give users an idea of whats goin'
on in the background and its hardly anything that will increase your
file size dramatically. You can also try to externalize some of your
assets (audio, VIDEO, jpegs, etc..) this will dramatically improve
load time of the main movie as well reduce the file size (you can also
then provide a higher quality version of the video or audio, optional,
if the user requests it). Also i don't know how stuck you are on the
fancy intro, but most users hate things like this anyways, unless of
course they are really cool, and I hate to say it this one is boring
typical, you may want to just get straight to the point, as words
can't describe the impactful works a company has to show off...
I may also point out that your code is quite redundant, i may be wrong
and it may just be the decomiler, but the above will definately work
alot!
If you need any more let me know :)
