Please help: JPGs and AOL art
|

| I got no response on my post regarding server-side solutions for avoiding
the AOL art compression of jpegs. Does anyone have anything to share on
this? I'm really stumped.
TIA

| Crossposting does not help either.

| Lol dude, I don't think I've ever seen you answer a question. Could you restate your question on this topic also?

| :) Couldn't agree more. My enthusiasm and zeal got the best of me, won't
happen again.

| Thanks. Here's the original question:
---
I have a database driven Flash catalog. AOL converts the jpegs to art files,
which flash ignores, so the site is empty on AOL.
The only fix I have seen is to change the .jpg file extension to a nonsense
extension so AOL ignores the jpeg, but that makes editing on a PC a hassle.
(For example, change the file name from "image1.jpg" to "image1.abc",
although dropping the extension entirely will work just as well. Also, I am
working on a PC, and Photoshop will not batch process images without an
extension, so I'd have to do it by hand. Any way you look at it, it creates
massive maintenance issues down the road for future developers.)
Anyone know a serious server-side fix to this?
