Is there a way to configure a plug-in animation so that it continues to play on the new HTML page, instead of reloading and starting from the beginning?

you could make it in its own frame (html frame not flash frame) and have rest of site just regular

Are you having the Flash call the new page? If so, you could pass a variable
to the html called "myFrameNumber" or something similar and have the Flash
look for that when it starts. You would have to do it for everything if its
a complicated movie, unless you're just talking about a navigation menu.

Basically it's a good idea, but I think that (unless using some construction
with javascript and an invisible frame) you would need serverside scripting
to pass a var on to the next page unless ... using Shared Local Object to be
used for storing and retrieving data.
