Author Movie clip opacity control via slider or buttons?

Hi. Is there anyone who can tell me how to control the opacity of my movie
clips using a slider? Or if not, using simple on / off (opaque / transparent)
buttons?

My site plays several movie clips which are all synchronized (images display
along to music) and the idea is that while all of these movie clips play
continously, the user has the option of displaying or hiding any / all of them.
A slider that changes opacity in small increments would be the most desirable,
although if I could just make the elements visible . invisible, I'd be happy.

Thanks for your time,

~ Elliot

Please do NOT start crossposting; it's irritating, considered spam and
counterproductive, let alone the fact that one invites people to answers
questions that probably altready have been answered.

Sorry John. Those were my first posts to this site; I wasn't sure where they belonged. I won't do it again.

Thank you very much for the link on your other post.
