Animations across entire page????

| I'm new to the forum. I have seen on a couple of sites flash animations that
apear, animate across the screen (such as the Orbitz blimp) and have user
controls, and then finish by minimizing to a spot on the page or closing
completely. They are not a part of the actual site layout or design though.
Does anyone know how to build such a flash movie, or any place I can find
more information about building something similar?

| If i understand what you are saying, you want a Flash movie to move across an
HTML page?
This can be done by the use of CSS and javascript. I'am sure you'll find what
your looking for at either

| Thanks for the help... I do have another question though.
If my server does indeed support SSI, do I specify a .swf file or one that is
inside a .shtml? And will is play as being transparent on top of the site?
(dazed and confused)

| You should always refer to the direct source...the *.SWF file. and ifyou use
this HTML code:
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
Add the following parameter to the EMBED tag:
wmode="transparent"
than the *.SWF's background will be transparent.

| Indeed... thanks for all the help! You have successfully resolved all my questions!
I think I was trying to make it harder than it actually was. :-)
