Hi,

I'm trying to create a gleaming/shine/glint effect using a combination of Flash and Fireworks, but I've got a bit stuck!! I want to get the sort of effect you'd imagine a knife or sword would do when reflecting light. The sort of effect I imagine is where
the reflection of light is a concentration of light in one area that appears to move as the angle of the object (that is reflecting the light) is changed. I hope this makes sense and that someone can help me!

Cheers,
Matt

Go to http://www.ultrashock.com, click on FLA Source Files. Then do a search
for "ray of light". That's the closest example I've seen to this effect.

In trying to do the same thing I found this http://www.oriongraphix.com/html/textmasking.html to be very helpful.
