HOW TO MAKE MY SITE LOAD FASTER?!
|
|
|
| Hello. I have created my new site using Flash MX. It has 6
categories, quite a bit of graphics. Each categorie is a separate
..fla file, with only one scene where all the information is stored. I
have a preloader for each one, but it is approximately 15 to 20 second
wait (until most of the pics are loaded), I wanted to reduce this
waiting time without having to completely re-do the whole site. One of
the solutions could probably be making each picture into a separate
..fla, with its own preloader, so a user would have to wait only when
clicks on a particular picture, but this doesn't seem to be the
ultimate solution to the problem. Could anyone advise me on this
matter? Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

| i liked your idea for making each image its own fla file that way you can
see the progress of each picture on the screen loading. like you click on
photography and 4 seperate loading "windows" show up on screen. other
things you could do would be to reduce the preview image size. you could
also mess with the compression settings and see if you could pull it down
just a little bit
