Flash Site Design - loadmovie issues

Hi FlashFolks, I've got some loadmovie weirdness happening at times
here:

The movie is on one long timeline and stops at frames where I load
external swf's into a clipholder.
It seems like the browser sometimes loads swf's after the 'playhead'
passes the frame with the loadmovie code in. I end up with content
from a different page loading into the current one.

Is it as simple as adding a preloader?
