I am placing an image on the over state of my button, so when somebody goes over with the mouse, they can see the photo on the viewing area. But the problem is that if you go with the mouse on the viewing area you see the image as well... I dont want this
to happen..what can I do?
Please help!!!!
Thanks

It sound like you haven't set a different Hit area on your button.

You've got 4 elements for a button - Up, Over, Down and Hit. If you don't set a hit area it defaults to whatever is to the left of it.

Edit the button, select the Hit frame and insert a keyframe (F6) - this will probably place your original button and the image in the frame - simply delete the image from this frame, leaving only the button area as the hit area.

That should do it.

think u have to define the hit area. inside the button there are 4 frame

1. up - how the button looks defaul
2. over - on mouse over of the butto
3. down - onmouse down of the butto
4. hit - thisis the area where the onmouse over and other event for the button
to happen. by default it takes the entire area of the button ie the union of
the area of the up over and down frames. so define the area and njo
