Flash Site Design - Publishing quicktime error

Publishing quicktime error - help please

I'm a flash newbie, and new to this forum, so please excuse my lack of knowledge or if this area has been covered before:

It is my understanding that in order to publish a flash movie with a quiicktime movie (linked not embedded), the entire project needs to be published as a quicktime.

When attempting to publish, I get the following, regardless of settings: "The installed version of Quicktime does not have a handler for this type of Macromedia Flash Movie". And nothing is published.

Quicktime problem/setting?

Suggestions would be most appreciated.
