On my website, I'm working on a little price estimate calculator in
javascript. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can activate certain
elements of a flash movie from javascript. For example, if the user checks
off a certain checkbox in my javascript form, it will make something happen
in the flash animation, such as a new scene to be started or something like
that. I'm not too familiar with actionscript but very familiar with the rest
of flash.

Also, is actionscript just as easy as javascript or easier or more
difficult? I'm thinking about learning it.
