Hello,

I have an all FLASH website that seems to take a really long time to load. You can view it at http://www.ballantine.com.

My question to you guys is: how can I get the movies to load up super quick without have to use the loading bars?

Thanks for your help,

Ryan

Hi,

Well the problem is that flash is a client-side application, it loads as fast as the end users internet connection and runs as fast as the persons computer. Example if you have a T1 line and a 2.6GHZ processor with 512RAM, your website is going to load qu
ickly. If you have 16kb modem and a 266MHZ processor, it's going to download pretty slow. My only advice is create your site with as much optimization as you can do and break the site up in movies instead of having everything in one movie. Good luck!

Thank you for replying to my thread.

I've noticed, however, that our website on the same computer will sometimes load up very quickly and other times take forever. It's very unpredictable.

Do you have any sort of explanation as to why this would be happening and if there's a way for us to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance!

That could be a server issue as well. There are a myriad of factors that can play a role in slow connection. Time of day, how many users are hitting a particular server, file size, user's computer, etc...

As said by the previous reply, use smaller seperate movies to make it streamlined a bit more. Unless you are targeting highbandwidth users, that would be the way to go.
