| Hey guys/girls, i started flash not so long ago, and i am learning with the Flash MX Bible Book(very good) and i need to know how to change input/dynamic text boxes background color. For some reason, they are always white. But i have a black background on
the webpage and obviously it doesnt look good. Please, if you have any ideas, please replay, i would most appreciate it. Thank you.

| You can do it with action script like this.
first turn the background on (you can also turn it off to make the box transparent)
theField_txt.background = true; //on
or
theField_txt.background = false; //off
no select it's color, basically 0xHTMLColorCode
theField_txt.backgroundColor = 0x0000FF; //blue
theField_txt.backgroundColor = 0x000000; //black

| To insert that code just put your actions panel (F9) in expert mode, to do this click the pane with a diagonal arrow on it in the upper right corner of the panel and select expert mode instead of normal mode.
To insert your movie clip just put it in it's own layer and extend it accross all frames of your movie.

| easy !!
1. select ur input/dyanmic text box , uncheck 'show bounting box' from properties window
2. make a layer below to ur text box.
3. make a patch, smooth, curved or... as ur wish.. change the colour... put outline if u need..
hope u got an idea...
