| HI, how do i use or input a scroll bar into flash MX 2004, I'm designing a web site and need a scroll bar because there is too much text to put on a page. I know the is a scroll bar option in the components panel but i dont know how to use it, will welcom
e any help.

| this is how i do it - there might be a slightly easier way, but yeah,
First, select the text tool, and change the text type to dynamic, and select the option - "Multiline" . You can, but dont have to, give the text an instance name - may as well.
Next, type the amount of text you want visible on the screen, (so not all of it yet) and then add the componant "scroll bar" from the compnants tablett. - to add the compnant, just click and drag it onto the side of the dotted lines around your text area.
Now, continue writing your text.
When your finished, scroll back up to the top - I dont know if you have to do that but its just a habit for me now.
And, if you want, you can move the scroll bar from its position to anywhere on the stage - it doesnt have top be right next to the text.

| that'll work fine in flash mx, in 2004 you need to use the textarea and then to change the look apply a theme. |
