Author website on a CD

Dear Friends,
I want to put a small simple website on a CD for distribution. I want to put
an "easy to see link "in a separate page outside
of the website itself.( the root folder) I can't figure out how to create a
link between the separate page and the index.html page inside the website. If I
browse for the link, it doesn't work once it is on the CD and away from my
computer. I think I want to use some sort of absolute link, but I can't figure
out the proper path(something like" Localhost/volumes/CDname/ClickHere.html".h.
Can you help? Thanks
P.S. I wouldn't object to a different solution. It needs to be MAC compatible.

I created a site in DW that had an file named "start-here.htm" file (the
portal to the web site) and a folder with an arbitrary name.

The folder contained the actual web site.

Saved the entire site to a CD (ISO 9660 format) and distributed it to people
who had Macs and others who had PCs.

No one complained that they had any difficulty with it.

There may be better solutions - but this worked for me.

Hello there,

I used recently OutSite-In (www.outsite-in.com) to create a website on CD for a departamental store.
You can copy your entire website or just part of it. The software generates some folders and an autorun file that you copy on CD. The user just insert the CD in his computer and displays the offline website in a browser. No complementary installation needed.

Hope this can help.
