Record set builder.
|
|
|
| All the sudden something strange has happened with my recordset builder in
dreamweaver. I select the datasource but where I would select the table it
shows the physical path to the table like this
C:\apache\htdocs\BrainstormStudios\database\brainbase.fckedit
This leads to messed up sql statements like this
<cfquery name="Recordset1" datasource="brainbase">
SELECT id, text
FROM C:\apache\htdocs\BrainstormStudios\database\brainbase.fckedit
</cfquery>
I have no idea what I changed or what has happened. I need it to go back to
the way that is was where it just showed the table name. The way that it is I
cant even read what table it is because it goes way off the edge of select
list.

| Ive searched high an low for an answer on this. Cant find one.
Macromedia basically wants to blackmail me out of $200 to find out whats wrong
with THIER program. Ya know I really am starting to dislike the whole cold
fusion enviroment since they have taken over. The cold fusion forums seem like
they are never "patroled" by the old allaire guys. They have totally destroyed
the exchange 90% of the cold fusion tags that were there are gone. Things that
Allaire used to give away to loyal customers Macromedia charges a subscription
for. They have been bothering me to update to studio mx 2004 I allmost did,
just waiting for a bit more money to come in. But why would I want to update a
product that does not work correctly as it is?

| That is a dilema for sure... all I can say is dump the Cold Fusion and move
on... you'll be better off in the long run.

| Even if I did move to say PHP I still will have the problem with "reamweaver"
| |
|
| Well it seems that I found my own answer.
Before I had been using the odbc datasource control panel in windows. Recently
I have been using the create datasource through the cold fusion administrator.
When using the cold fusion admin to set up the datasource it shows up all
messed up.
After using cfstudio for a bit and attempting to connect to the RDS I could
not I had to go in and set up the datasource through the control panel agian.
Going back into dreamweaver I could agian see all the tables correctly after I
did this.
