| Hello
Download the whole site onto your computer, the set up DW site to that folder,
once you have finished updating or whatever, then upload this folder onto the
server, or simply the files that you have altered. All images etc that you link
to have to be in this folder so the links are kept when uploaded. ie you cannot
lonk to an image on your desktop.

| Check on your Site Inspector to the right of the screen. You should be
seeing "Local View" but I think you have "Remote View".
Click on Edit > Preferences > Site. At the top is "Always show: and select
Local Files from the drop-down menu.
Dependent files: your choice, suggest the lower one: Prompt on put/check in.
Lower down, put and Move options, check both. I also suggestion you look at
Preview in Browser in Preferences, and check Preview using temporary files
if not already checked.

| Read DW's F1 help about how to define your site.
Then use DW to connect to the remote site, select all the files, and GET
them to your local root folder.

| I took "site" to mean the more general sense of 'a web site'.
