Author Help need for info on "subscription site"

good morning!

My dilemma:
I have a client who wants her web site to accept paid subscriptions in order
to grant subscribers access to her training videos.

My question:
Can anyone recommend Net resources where I could learn how to go about
accomplishing this? I don't know how to modify her site to provide
subscriptions and then provide subscribers with the training content. I'm
assuming I'll need a backend database...but that's all I know.

I realize this is not a direct Dreamweaver question but I'm at a loss at how
to get this information.
Thanks so much

You should be able to do this via Pay Pal. Just another option.

A shopping cart with additional modules (Look into Miva 5) but if you do
decide to fo this way be sure to use only premiere host that can handle the

Thanks!

I have used Paypal before. This will take care of accepting payment but what about the maintenance of the subscriber's information? access to the training videos, etc?

Check out payloadz.com I know they can handle 1-off downloads, but I'm not
sure about subscriptions.

Thanks for the payloadz tip... I just sent them an email with some questions.

However... what if I would like to do it on my own?.... which approach would i
need to take and where would I learn?

Thanks for any help.

Gilles
