Dreamweaver - Can't install MX 2004 Updater

Can't install MX 2004 Updater

I've tried to install the updater several times, but each one ends in the
installer claiming it can't find Dreamweaver MX 2004 in the designated folder
on my hard drive. I've double-triple-checked and it is, in fact, being told to
put it in the right folder. I even made sure it wasn't a corrupted install by
calling up my file directory and loading Dreamweaver directly from that same
folder. It worked fine.

Any idea why the installer has suddenly gone blind? And how important is it
to have the Updater in place, anyway?

You've probably already got the updater installed.

Check Help > About. If it reports 7.0.1 then it's already installed.

Either you already have the updated version or it's a pirated copy.
