a link to the page in question would help.

The text that is SET by the behavior can only be edited in Code view, or by
editing the behavior itself, using the Behaviors palette. You will never
see this in DW's design view.

Thank you for you response, and I realize I was less than clear. As it turns
out, I am trying to go into the behaviors palette to correct a misspelling of
text I had set. I make sure to choose a layer with text, but the text doesn't
show up.

I brought an affected page to my system downstairs and it works fine. I'm
going to re-install DW onto my system that is buggin' out and see what happens.

Thanks again for your time.

Thanks for your response. The page isn't on the web, but I know it would have been appropriate. Thanks for looking into my problem though.

It sounds to me like you may be misunderstanding what the Set Text of Layer
behavior does. This would not be the way to just correct spelling in a
layer containing text. But, it's still very unclear what you are doing.

Also, you do know about the danger of using text in layers, right? Go here
to see what I mean -

Ace,

So as to not waste time: I reinstalled DW and resolved my problem.

I'm sorry if I was unclear, and I appreciate the website. Very useful!

I am building a training web page and the show/hide layers and the set text
behaviors are very useful. I somehow corrupted DW and the text wasn't showing
up in the behaviors palette as it should have. AOK now.

Thanks to all who give their time.

Armach.
