Author Dreamweaver Layout (easy question)

Its been years since I've used DW. Stopped when the layout became unusable on a
laptop. Now helping a friend with hers and can not, for the life of me,
remember how to create the workspace I want. That is, local file structure on
the left and, when you open a file, it opens to the right.

Using DWMX.

Thank you

What do you have now? Files on the right?

Poster 1: right now we only have the page we're working on. We open DW, open a
page and just that page opens. We have no view of local files.

Poster 2: Edit > Preferences > General ...we have no "change workspace".

This is Dreamweaver MX for apple if that helps.

When you start DMX, and open a file, you should see the Files panel to the
right. If you do not, then use WINDOW | Files (or F8) to bring it to the
front.
