Author Preview Browser Not Working

Hi,

I updated Dreamweaver to v. 8.0.1. The Preview Browser function stoped
working. I keep getting a message to delete my browser list. I did that and
tried to re-add the browsers to the list again and DW won't let me. I've tried
trashing the preferences file, made sure Test Server was unchecked and Preview
using temporary file was unchecked.

Any other thoughts on how to correct this?

Thanks,
spellmank

I think you'll find you need to re-check Preview using Temp file
(Edit>Preferences>Preview in Browser> Preview using temporary file. Add
Browsers.

Thanks, but that didn't work. I'll give you as much detail as I can this time.

After I updated to DW v. 8.0.1 I got the following message when I started up
DW: "Unable to read Preview in Browser preferences. Please remove all browsers
from the list and add them again."

I first tried what the message suggested, deleted the browsers in the list,
but the message and the list kept reappearing.

I then deleted the DW prefernces in my user Library, which made the message
stop appearing when I started up DW. When I went to re-add the list to Preview
in Browser I got the message again, and my browser list was still there.

Then I tried the suggestion Josie1one suggested and that crashed DW.

I again deleted the preferences file, reopned DW, got no message until I tried
to edit the Preview in Browser function where I yet again got the message, but
now my temp file option was checked and the browser list was STILL there. Tried
to set a different browser as my Primary and DW crashed again.
