When you put together a photo slide show, each photo is in an html page, and
the entire page is called up. However, what if you want to just keep the page
always the same, and just change the picture contents. Am I saving any
substantial amount of overhead? Secondly, how do you call up just a picture
when you hit "next" AND have it land in the right spot? Sounds like some java
script behavior thing I don't have anywhere.

I think ajax is what you should be after,

I was looking for something like the not long ago, I do believe that in the
very near future some brilliant dw extensions will be available for these
type of things. but for the moment only code is available.

you could try using frames but I think thats kinda vomit, personal opinion.

you may have found this in your searchs
http://jjooee.media3.net/extensions.html

it is very good as it loads inside a layer, I had tested it a load of times
and found it worked, i seem to have believe that it would load what ever
inside the layer when the layer was called, but having chatted to some in
here it was pointed out to me that there was some flaw, and that all content
would have to be preloaded on the page to really have it work for sure. just
thought i's let you know.

kenny

Thanks two cans,
Do you think those scripts would do the job? I kinda had my doubts. Here is
a sample of the intent:

It's easy enough to do in flash, but I would like to do the same thing in html.
