|
| The design window just shows a white box where my table is. The page displays
perfect on the internet, but when I go to edit it I have to use only code
becuase I can't see anything but a huge white square. Can anyone help?

Paste your page code here or give a link to the page. The answer is in
your code and we need to see that.

| Validating this page would show immediately that the table on it has serious
problems. It can also give you a clue as to which tags are munged....

I know what tags are munged. I can see that in DW. I just can't find the
pairing for each tag, neithier will the validator. It will tell you
there is an unclosed tag/s but it doesn't mean that if you close it
anything will change.
The code can be so badly manged that its like finding a needle in a
haystack.

We can't have that now.. Murray - grabbing and yanking <lol>

that's horrid - I'd stick to munged... :)

So, you DO use validation then? 8)
Most people who post here with those kinds of train wreck code have no clue
about DW's validation. Asking them to validate at the W3C site is usually
more helpful.

Not really. I don't usually get the yellow tags showing up in my code,
its other peoples. If they do show up, yes I know I there is something
incorrect. In a lot of cases, it doesn't help me trouble shoot because
the code is so badly shot away and I'm not implying that is good
practice when addressing validation issues, of course it's not.

I can't really see how it can be any easier, these yellow tags are
obviously not correct and when you see some you should take stock of the
situation before going any further.
I'm guessing a lot of people get into a mess because they NEVER look at
the code. Well I can't really be of much help in those circumstances. I
need some 'skin' left to perform a 'graft'.

| Sounds right to me....
What's missing is the canine sense, as in 'dog barf'.
