| I uploaded a *.mpeg file to my website in to a folder & created *.htm page with
a link to that file. The problem is when I click on that link it gives me full
page of encrypted text instead of an option to download. What I'm doing wrong?
Help me, I'm green to this.

It sounds like a server configuration problem where the server is
sending the .mpeg with a Content-type=text/plain. That's what most
servers will do with unrecognized file types. Contact your host.

In addition to that: The correct content type would be "video/mpeg".
