Author Library updates

Hello,
I'm just learning how to use library items and working in DW4. So far, I
can create one, insert it in the relevant pages, update it and update the
pages on my computer. That brings me to the point where it seems, to update
files on the server, I need to put up the changed library item and all pages
that use it. Is there a way to update pages as a batch on the server after
putting the updated library item?
Thanks much,
Bill

Library items (and templates) are design time tools. This means that their
scope of action only applies to local files, which must then be uploaded to
the server after they are updated. Since the scope confines their action to
local files (while actually running DW), there is no need to upload the
library items, nor is there any purpose served by doing so (other than to
share them with a colleague).

You have to upload the changed local files.

You can open the F8 Site Manager window and click the header item for
"Modified" to sort the file list so latest changed are in a group. then
select them and upload.

To do this with only uploading a single file- you could look into using SSI
server-side-includes if your hosting supports them. General info that's kind
of slanted to linux hosting: http://bignosebird.com/ssi
