Author Repeat Regions in Template ASP

Hi,

so I have a page based on a template. Now within this page i have an image,
imagename, description and price being pulled from an access database. This all
comes through fine. The only problem is when i go to put in a repeat region so
that all values in the database are displayed on the page.

The error i get is:

"The template that this document is based on does not allow changes outside
the <html> tag. The change you made will be discarded."

This seems fair enough as you dont want all of the template to be editable
hence the need for editable regions. But how do i accomplish what i want to.
All help is much appreciated:confused;

Which DW?

Can you post a link to the template page, please?

So, this error -

> the <html> tag. The change you made will be discarded."

sounds to me like you have changed the default from the normal state of
allowing page-specific server scripting above <html>, and below </html> by
adding the line -

<!-- TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="true" -->

to the Template page. Have you?

Murray *TMM*

yeah this line was there

<!-- TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="true" -->

but i never put it there at all but once removed and changed "true" to
"false" was able to put in repeat regions. Thanks alot **

Les Matthews,

havent actually used includes files before and was wondering if you could
point me in the direction of a good tut or someting.

One other thing. I want to create a "management area" so that admin of this
site can update the access database via the web and not have to ask me all the
time. Could somebody also point me in the directin of a useful
tutorial/utility to help with this. Is aspupload good for this? Never used
but would be excited to learn how to

thanks to all again
