Author Adding .mp4 file to web page

I have a .mp4 movie file I need added to a web page created in Dreamweaver MX.
How do I code this? I don't see this file insert option in the Insert > Media
drop down menu.

Just as a test to see if the movie file would play online I uploaded the .mp4
file via FTP but when I type in the domain name / mp4 file name it displays as
jibberish, altough it appears as if it is trying to load the movie but it never
plays.

Thanks in advance.

You could add this file using either Quicktime, Real or Windows Media. I am
certain all three will be able to play that file type. To make inserting these
file types easier I would recommend going to the exchange here and searching
for either Quicktime, Real or Windows Media and I am certain you will find
extensions for each that will allow you to easily insert a plug-in into your
site to play the file.

Also it doesn't matter which way you go. I would only recommend that you
choose one player to play the files on your website just to keep some things
uniform.
