Dreamweaver - open+save(no changes)=blank page

Someone help me here, please
I have a site that has been working fine until now. I just opened, made some
minor content changes to, and tried to preview a page. All i get is a blank
page in 3 diff. browsers. uploaded it to my server, same result. If i open the
file in DW I CAN SEE ALL MY CONTENT, ETC but nothing shows in a browser. No
'invalid code' errors or anything. I did some experimenting and just
opening/saving a file results in a blank page, with no changes to content,
code, anything. What is going on?

thats it. I have tried on several machines with the same result, blank page.
that same blank page i can download, open in DW and see everything is there.
I'm afraid to touch any of my other sites until this is fixed so i cant isolate
if its a 'site' problem or a DW problem. any ideas?

update:
both links now work, I'm not sure why. I can now upload but it's taking
several tries... still mostly putting a "blank" page up. I'd still appreciate
any insight into this as I'm still hesitent to work on any other sites.

I've narrowed it down to my Antivirus/security software. (Freedom, bundled
with Adelphia) If I disable it, I can preview/upload a page correctly. With it
on/running, i get the blank page. this is after 'allowing' DW to communicate
with the internet. Can I not be 'secure' (in the loosest sense, anyway) and
still work on my sites? Has anyone else had to work around this?
