- Simple CSS Border question...

| Applying 1px border on a cell makes that cell 1px bigger. Applying a
background image of 1 pixel and having it repeat only on one axis
accomplishes the same thing without making the cell bigger.
Is there an all-css way to apply a border on a cell without making it
bigger?

Yeah. Reduce the width rule.
