Where do you live now?

I live in Houston, but go to San Antonio occasionally. I love the place. San
Antonio and Austin are my two favorite Texas cities.

I'd move to Austin if I were you. It's only an hour from San Antonio, and I think the design market is much better.

Plus, if you like music, there's no better place in the world.

i am in LA right now......

before you ask "why the heck do you want to move then" keep in mind the
following:

1 house, 6 beedroom, 3 bath room, 2 level, 2 car garge, newly built, 3000 sq
feet

San Antonio = $170, 000
Los Angeles = $1, 000, 000 - $3, 000, 000

I live between San Antonio and Austin, and my opinion is the central Texas
area is a great place to live. I prefer Austin over San Antonio, but both
cities have a lot to offer. The music scene and nightlife in Austin is hard
to beat as blackhawks mentioned. San Antonio has it's allure too with the
Riverwalk, which is really nice.

I do consulting work in both cities and I see a lot of opportunities for
..NET developers. Just my observation.

Either way, I think you'll enjoy the great state of Texas.

Oh, I feel you. :)
I was only asking because if you live in a relatively nearby city, like
Austin or even Houston (though 6 hours isn't always considered "nearby"),
then I'd stay put. San Antonio, though certainly not a bad place, doesn't
have anywhere near the opportunities available in Houston, Dallas, or
Austin. In my experience, that is - I don't exactly have a scientific study
in front of me. :)

Wow. At those prices, would you even need to work? ;o)
