| :| I am so at my witts end... I cannot get the text color to change on the
links or the actual text and the dotted line is the wrong color, too. This is
my first attempt at using CSS & layers. I fear I have overused it..? Also, in
order to get the layers centered properly I used a free extension from
www.projectseven.com.
I know you all are busy, but could someone possibly take a look and see if
they can spot the prob??? I pasted the style sheet into the content area...

| Make sure your link styles are declared in the order: Link, Visited, Hover,
Active. That should clear it up.

Yeah - it insists on proper syntax. Bummer. 8)

| Two quick suggestions:
1) Get rid of the styles defined in the HTML, they redefine the ones in
NEW/Stylesheet.css
I prefer to have all my styles in one place (external .css file) as it makes
site maint easier, but watch out for some browsers caching the .css file...
Ctrl-F5 to flush the cache in IE, Grrrr... dig into the tools/options/cache in
Firefox
2) In your stylesheet you have a few colors defined without a hash
a:link {
color: EEF3E5;
font-weight: bold;
}
instead of
a:link {
color: #EEF3E5;
font-weight: bold;
}
Firefox seems to be getting really picky out how styles are defined

| Thank you so much for your acvice. I just have an hour to look at it before
school so I apologize if my response is premature.
How do I put the body tags such as background on the external style sheet?
I still can't get my tables cells to function as blocks so I can make the
block change color when hovered over? I did it the other night... now I guess
I can't remember exactly what I did. How do I add an a:hover property to an
existing style?
Much regards for your expertise.
