- Positioning layers...
|
|
|
| Trying to position a layer OVER my webpage with the following code :
<div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; width:200px; height:115px;
z-index:1; left: 160; top: 300;">
Not working. While in DW it seems to go where it should, the F12 preview in
IE (latest version) shows positioning relative to the position in the HTML.
In the code, I tried placing it right after the body tag without changing a
word, and it placed it BEFORE my webpage, on top. Ditto when I tried placing
the div at the end just before the closing tags... it placed the layer at
the end of the layout.
How do I tell it to position the layer OVER the website, ignoring the
website entirely? Am I not using the right syntax?
Thanks.
