| ok, here's what happened.
i was using DW8 last night trying to edit some pages for my site i'm making.
i cut off the computer to go eat for about an hour or so. when i turn on the
pc and start DW8, i got
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...eamweaver_error
..gif.
now, i already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the same message.
is there something i have to edit to fix that?

| You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this file -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\SiteCache\<sitename>.dws
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?

| OK - we take the next step.
Quit DW.
Find this file -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-######.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
(where "#" is a number or a letter) and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?
