| Hello,
I just switched to Dreamweaver 8 from MX. In MX and in DW4, I was able to
view a page while I was designing it without saving or putting. Now, when I try
to preview in browser, I am prompted to save the file and put it and it's
dependent files. This means I cannot work offline. Is there a setting or
preference I can set to change this. thanks for your help.

| You have inadvertantly enabled the automatic PUT on save (in the Remote site
definition), *and* the preview without temp files.
Thus, when you preview you must save the file, and when you save the file,
it wants to put it to the remote site.
