How to do Recent news then more...?

Hi,

there is a guy wants to make his site database driven so he can post news
stories.
Additionally he when you click on it to "read more" then let the stories
disappear after a few days but access abiel via an archive or something..

p.s. it was initially done in FP.

I know some recordset can be added but are there any packages or tutorials
that will help speed up the deployment time??
