Putting text in a table
|

| Hey I am new to dreamweaver and I am trying to make a website or web page. I
have got my layout and table set up to the way I want it and I want to add some
text in for the main page. The problem is when I add text into a cell the
table extends down. I have made enough room for the text but it stills extends
down when it doesnt need too. Can anybody help me?

| Hi -
I would advise against using tables as a layout method; however, lets try to
answer your question, but first - please post a URL or *paste* the code you
have.
HTH, take care.

| Yes - tables expand to hold what you put into them. That's how they work.
If this is breaking your layout, then you need to rethink your layout plan
so that such expansion doesn't break it.
