Hi

I'm trying to make a PDF map download from a by clicking on a link in a
Dreamweaver page I have put the PDF in a folder called downloads and linked to
it from the Dreamweaver Page - then made a simple FTP upload but it does not
seem to like it. The link for the page is
http://www.gianttesting.co.uk/Map_and_directions.html

Can anyone help?

I can see map.gif.

map.pdf is linked to map.gif.

I download map.pdf (10k) but cannot view anything. Is it corrupt?

P.S. the page needs a background colour. You seem to be relying on the
default browser bg being white.
Mine's not white so the page looks odd.

Hi John

Thanks for that. Do you think it is the case that the file is corrupt or do you think there may be an underlying problem.

No idea I'm afraid.

It's just a simple link to a PDF so I would not suspect anything too
sinister.

How big is the original map.pdf?

Seems like the PDF is corrupt.

What program are you creating the PDF files with?

I checked the header of the file with a hex editor after Acrobat (7.0.5 -
PC) failed to recognise the file, and it looks like an ancient mac format
(although it could just be a corrupt file too)

Also at the end of the day, is a PDF file really required for the map, where
a simple larger, linked gif/png/jpg could suffice?

Cheers

Greg
